    What is Furoshiki?

    Furoshiki is a piece of square towel that people from Japan have been using to wrap gifts and carry groceries for generations. Due to its unique pattern, size and weaving style, this 100% high quality towel can be used in a variety of different ways.

    How can you use the Furoshiki?

    The 50cm Organic Cotton Furoshiki Hime Musubi by Adeline Klam can be used as lunch box wrap or a small gift wrap. Spread it on the table, or on your knees while eating can protect the surface and clothes from getting dirty. It is also great to use carry small objects or organizer in your bag or suitcase. Instead of using fixed shaped bags, the squared furoshiki can always be changed into a perfect shape to help you with your special needs.

    Maintaining your Furoshiki is easy, simply machine wash 30 degrees Celsius, ironing is seldom needed. Furoshiki is not only beautiful, useful and easy to handle, it also stimulates creativity and problem-solving skills. Using the multipurpose and multifunctional Furoshiki can reduce waste from both wrapping and shopping.

    About the design

    Hime Musubi has been created in collaboration with French Designer Adeline Klam. This new line gives a refreshing feeling to the eye by looking at the color contrast. These unique color combination and pattern fit very well to both Japanese and European art taste.

    About the designer

    Adeline Klam has a great sense with colors. She was fascinated by Japanese Washi (traditional paper), and she has produced Yuzen paper by arranging Japanese traditional patterns to modern designs. She also produced and suggest handmade kits and interior objects using washi. She opened her first shop “Adeline Klam” in Paris in 2009. People come to her store from all over Europe. Her most well-known books are "l'origami comme par magie" and "LA BIBLE DU PAPIER".

    Material and water-repellency

    Organic Cotton Furoshiki Hime Musubi by Adeline Klam – Apricot Blue/Orange 50cm is lightweight and can easily be carried in a purse or backpack, car, for any unexpected situations that require wrapping and transporting. It can be even used as a table clothes or interior decoration. Building a habit of carrying one Furoshiki with you can be very helpful to reduce the needs of buying disposable plastic bag. In special situation, it can be wrapped to cover yourself as an emergency rain coat.

    The Aqua drop line products are all treated with "water repellent coating" that can be used over and over again for a long period of time. It is also really easy to care, since it doesn't wrinkle easily, it doesn't need to be ironed after washing. Only when the water repellent effect weakens, use medium temperature mold to iron the Furoshiki, then the water repellent effect will return.

    For travelers, hikers and people who do outdoor sports, Organic Cotton Furoshiki Hime Musubi by Adeline Klam – Apricot Blue/Orange 50cm will be a great companion.     The 100cm × 100cm sized furoshikis are generally well suited as a shopping bag or for wrapping bulky items. The generous size also allows to use them as a baby wrap or as a piece of clothing in unexpected weather changes, such as as a scarf or headpiece. The towels can easily be attached to a stroller, shopping cart or walking frame to provide quick storage for carrying.
