About the brand
Curanatura is a Slovakian company that first started selling bamboo toothbrushes in 2013. They have designed their toothbrush range together with a dental hygienist to offer the best possible performance, as well as strong environmental credentials.
Curanatura use solid moso bamboo to make their bamboo products. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world, and is an endlessly renewable resource. It grows naturally without using any pesticides or fertilizers, takes in greenhouse gasses and produces 35% more oxygen than the equivalent trees.

Some bamboo species can grow at an incredible rate of up to 90 centimetres a day, thereby providing large yields on small areas. Bamboo is naturally smooth, clean and beautiful, while at the same time being very light, strong and durable. The material will decompose in a matter of years, leaving no trash behind. One interesting fact about bamboo is that it is actually a grass type, and therefore possesses no growth rings or sap like common trees do.
