This bento box is hand made from Chinese bamboo strips using a traditional Chinese weaving technique. The box comes with a fitting lid; a small Furoshiki (48 × 48cm) is the perfect companion for this bento box, to wrap it up and fix the lid. Add a bamboo spoon and pair of chopsticks and your ready for almost any food adventure.
Before the first usage:
Wash the box with cold water and soap; then rinse well. Dry it off with a regular kitchen towel.

Please keep in mind:

- This bento box is like a basket and therefore only suitable for dry food; avoid any liquids such as sauce, juice or porridge
- The bamboo box is very breathable, which is great to avoid certain foods from turning soft and wet (e.g. bread)
- The box is made from bamboo wood and therefore not suitable for baking, microwaving or very hot content
Easy maintenance:

- Use some soap and cold water to wash the basket; do not machine wash
- Apply some bamboo wood oil from time to time to prevent the wood from drying out
- Do not let food mold inside the box, as the molds can spread the wood as well
