Yamada sen-i was established in 1937 as a manufacture of Furoshiki and has been focusing on promoting Furoshiki which is a important and beautiful aspect of Japanese culture, with the hearts and minds of Japanese people. Since the establishment they have been creating traditional and beautiful Furoshiki for many years under the brand name Musubi.
The name of the Furoshiki brand “MUSUBI” comes from “born(生す/musu)” and “beauty(美/bi)” in Japanese. Additionally, “MUSUBI” means “a knot” and “to tie” MUSUBI produce and sell hundreds of different Furoshiki using various dying and weaving techniques such as double-sided dying.
